You are using CRM.connector and would like to benefit from the fixes included in the latest version of the software. However, at the same time, you don't wish to or are unable to update the Core ACRM modules.
While newer versions of CRM.connector may work with older ACRM versions if no major change has taken place, there is no guarantee that the latest CRM.connector version will work in an older ACRM environment, and it is recommended that you use the latest version of all applications involved.
Note: If you are interested in learning why issues may arise, you will need to understand that CRM.connector interfaces between two sides:
- The E-mail server or mailing solution: The way in which communication is carried out will depend on the type of CRM.connector, and the newer version will usually adapt to any changes made to the corresponding APIs.
- The Core ACRM modules: Communication is done through CRM.interface queries. While changes on this side of the application are less common, any modification to this behavior as a result of a fix or change in design will mean that issues may arise when using a different version of ACRM than expected.
Therefore, it is recommended that you always use the latest versions of ACRM, including all modules, so that you enjoy the latest fixes. This will also ensure that our Support Team can address new issues in a timely manner once identified.
